Handing over the items in Hanoi, Truong Ngoc Tien, Vice President of Hanoi’s Vietnam – China Friendship Association expressed sympathies for the Chinese people, especially residents in Wuhan city, on the difficulties facing them in the COVID-19 combat.
Representative of the Chinese Embassy appreciated the Association’s material and spiritual support which, he said, demonstrated the friendship and solidarity between the two countries and people.
Earlier, many localities in Vietnam had also supported the Chinese side with medical materials to prevent and control COVID-19, he added.
On February 9, Vietnam had sent medical supplies and equipment worth 500,000 USD to China on a Vietnam Airlines plane.
