Found at levels as high as 59.1 percent, EGCG gives green tea its sharp character and delivers a long list of health benefits that appeal to today’s consumers.
A Compound With Real Impact
EGCG occurs naturally in green tea leaves. It supports stress relief, reduces fatigue, and refreshes the body on hot days, which makes it a trusted companion for young people who enjoy outdoor activities and summer trips. As a strong antioxidant, it helps calm the mind, strengthen immunity, slow aging, and lower cholesterol.
Research has also linked EGCG to reduced risks of lung cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. These diseases claim about 205 Vietnamese lives each day. EGCG further contributes to heart health, helping lower the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and high blood pressure. These conditions remain the leading causes of death in Vietnam and are affecting younger age groups more often.

According to a recent Nielsen survey, nearly 80 percent of consumers believe Zero Degree Green Tea (Trà Xanh Không Độ) has the most recognizable bitterness and aroma among bottled teas. Nielsen data also shows that the brand holds a strong position in the category, backed by broad consumer approval.

Zero Degree Green Tea uses an Aseptic cold filling system overseen by specialists. This process helps the product retain the highest levels of beneficial nutrients from Thai Nguyen tea leaves, especially EGCG, which gives the tea its signature edge.
Natural ingredients are paired with a five-step Aseptic process that sterilizes the bottle, cap, water, product, and filling environment. This combination preserves flavor, nutrients, and EGCG without the need for chemical preservatives. The approach aligns with current consumer concerns. According to Nielsen, 70 percent of Vietnamese consumers try to avoid preservatives, 68 percent avoid artificial colors, and 65 percent refuse artificial additives.
