The program provided a learning and hands-on experience space where students from primary to lower secondary levels were introduced to environmental knowledge.
At a time when waste pollution is becoming one of the most serious environmental challenges, GNI implemented the Environmental Education Program with the aim of addressing the issue at its roots: raising awareness and changing the behavior of the younger generation. Through early education, GNI believes that each student can become a “green nucleus,” spreading environmentally friendly lifestyles within their families, schools, and communities.

The program was designed to be age-appropriate for each group. For primary school students, the lessons focused on basic yet practical questions such as what waste is, where waste comes from, where it goes after being discarded, and the role of each individual in reducing and sorting waste at the source. For lower secondary school students, the content was expanded to encourage critical thinking, helping them better understand the impact of individual behavior on the environment and the community. The lessons were not limited to theory but were enriched with images, real-life situations, and two-way discussions.
A highlight of the program was the Environmental Festival Day, where knowledge was “activated” through a series of lively experiential activities. Primary school students enthusiastically participated in game stations such as Speedy Waste Sorting, Green Warriors Protecting the Environment, Relay for a Green Earth, as well as presentation contests on waste bins and waste classification.

Meanwhile, secondary school students demonstrated their understanding and creativity through an environmental painting contest and the “Rung Chuong Vang” competition on environmental knowledge. Each activity helped students naturally retain knowledge while also developing teamwork, presentation skills, and a sense of responsibility.
Through the program, students not only gained a clearer understanding of waste and proper waste management but also gradually formed green living habits and learned to appreciate the environment around them. With the Environmental Education Program themed waste and waste recycling at Yen Ha Primary and Secondary School, GNI continues to affirm its commitment to accompanying schools and communities in nurturing a young generation that is knowledgeable, responsible, and proactive in building a green, clean, and sustainable environment.
