The event was held at the International Hall of the Conference Center of Tuymen Technology Park. The event marks an important milestone in the promotion of Vietnamese culture in Russia.
Themed “Vietnam: Past to Present”, the program recreated a colorful image of Vietnam’s history, traditions, and national identity. The event had the participation of over 300 guests, including local leaders and international friends.

Nguyen Mai Huong, Consul General of Vietnam in Ekaterinburg, remarked that “Vietnam Day in Tyumen” is a significant event commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation (January 30, 1950 - January 30, 2025). She noted that the event not only serves as an opportunity to showcase Vietnamese culture to the people of Tyumen but also strengthens the traditional friendship between the two nations.
Deputy Governor of Tyumen, Andrei Panteleev, expressed high regard for the “Vietnam Day in Tyumen,” emphasizing its role in fostering bilateral cooperation and cultural exchange. He highlighted the importance of the younger generation as a bridge connecting the two countries and as a key factor in further solidifying their enduring friendship. Additionally, the Deputy Governor conveyed his desire to enhance collaboration with Vietnam, particularly in the areas of education and trade.

As part of the event, Russian attendees had the chance to explore Vietnam's rich cultural heritage and vibrant community through a photo exhibition and engaging art activities, including Dong Ho folk painting and bamboo dancing. A highlight of the event was the performance of the song "Katyusha" in both Vietnamese and Russian, which captivated a large number of delegates.

Alina, a third-year student at Tyumen State University, shared her thoughts on the event: "For me, the Vietnam Day in Tyumen was a special experience. I was immersed in the rich culture and history of this beautiful country. It was an honor to serve as the MC for the event and to wear the traditional Vietnamese ao dai."
The "Vietnam Day in Tyumen" not only provides Vietnamese students studying in Tyumen with a chance to preserve their cherished traditions but also serves as a platform to build connections with international friends. The program plays a vital role in promoting mutual understanding between the people of the two nations, while further strengthening the enduring traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
