The program lasts from November 2024 to December 2026, with a total funding of over VND 3.8 billion, equivalent to 159,934 USD, from the VinaCapital Foundation (VCF).
The program aims to screen and detect congenital heart disease in children from birth to 18 years old in Da Nang City. Costs for congenital heart surgery will also be sponsored with the motto "All children with congenital heart disease must be treated promptly".
Specifically, about 75,000 children in the city will be screened for early detection of congenital heart disease and 105 children will be supported with heart surgery costs. Thereby, they will gain more chances in growing up in normal life, while improving their family's economy by reducing the burden of medical care costs.
Founded in 2006, VCF is a non-profit organization licensed in the US and operating in Vietnam. VCF's mission is to create solutions in healthcare and education to change the lives of disadvantaged children and women in Viet Nam. In this journey, VCF has helped to change the lives of millions of Vietnamese people across 63 provinces and cities every year.
