Speaking at the meeting, Vice President of the Khanh Hoa People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang emphasized that the working trip to Italy marks a significant milestone in expanding the province’s international relations, reaffirming its commitment to becoming a premier global tourism destination and a dynamic economic development hub in the region.

He presented the province’s potential, strengths, and development orientation, highlighting the foundation of the Vietnam–Italy Strategic Partnership established in 2013 and the longstanding friendship of over 52 years (since 1973) between the two nations. On this basis, Khanh Hoa expressed its desire to strengthen and broaden cooperation with Milan in the fields of economy, tourism, and science and technology.

To promote tourism, a key economic sector for both localities, Trinh Minh Hoang proposed that the Milan city council support and encourage tourism businesses from both sides to participate in each other’s promotional programs.

He also suggested coordinating efforts to invite famtrip delegations of Italian tourism enterprises to explore Khanh Hoa’s tourism products and services; organizing joint activities and events; expanding tourism cooperation; and working toward the launch of a direct flight between Khanh Hoa and Milan. These initiatives aim to foster business collaboration, trade, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connectivity.
