"The Vietnam-US cooperation has been deepened, trade and economic cooperation has been promoted to a higher level. It is now the key pillar of our relationship, inspiring our relationship in other areas, including defense, security, technology, education, people-to-people ties, and war legacy issues," said the Ambassador.

According to the Ambassador, the establishment of the "Vietnam - US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace, Cooperation, and Sustainable Development" has opened up opportunities to develop cooperation in the fields of innovation, information technology, and green energy. Also, people-to-people ties will continue to be important for us to broaden the frameworks of friendship that cover all areas of cooperation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chief of the US Mission in Vietnam Melissa Bishop reaffirmed that the US Embassy and Consulate General to Vietnam are committed to promoting people-to-people ties, creating many opportunities for the two peoples to interact and gain mutual understanding on a deeper level. The US Mission in Vietnam will contribute to the bilateral friendship and cooperation development practically and effectively, for "mutual benefit."
