Samaritan’s Purse Supports Vietnamese Provinces Hit by Storm No. 10 and Flooding

According to the decisions, Samaritan’s Purse is providing emergency relief to the three localities with a total of more than 3,000 packages, including essential household items, food, and drinking water.
In Ha Tinh, 1,500 households affected by Storm No. 10 will receive family and kitchen supply packages, personal hygiene kits, and food packages containing items such as blankets, mosquito nets, pots, pans, rice, cooking oil, milk, fish sauce, and seasoning powder.
In Tuyen Quang, 800 households will receive similar assistance, consisting of household supplies and essential food items, all newly purchased domestically.
In Lang Son, the relief goods will be distributed to two localities, Huu Lung Commune and That Khe Town, including 4,000 boxes of instant noodles (30 packs per box), 4,000 cartons of Lavie bottled water (500ml x 24 bottles per carton), and 4,000 boxes of sausages (30 sticks per box), all brand-new products. The People’s Committee of Lang Son Province is responsible for receiving and distributing the aid to eligible beneficiaries in an open and transparent manner and reporting the results to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment by December 30, 2025.
This international support reflects the humanitarian cooperation and solidarity of the global community with the people of Vietnam in responding to and overcoming the impacts of natural disasters. It contributes to helping affected localities stabilize their lives and restore production following storms and floods.

Earlier, on September 11, 2025, the Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention and Control, in coordination with Samaritan’s Purse, completed the delivery of relief goods to 400 households in Thien Cam Commune, Ha Tinh Province, one of the areas hardest hit by Storm No. 5 and prolonged flooding. The relief packages included household and kitchen items, personal hygiene supplies, and essential food, all purchased domestically to promptly meet the needs of local residents.
From September 9-13, 2025, the relief program continued in Thanh Hoa Province, providing support to an additional 900 households in Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes.
