Along with financial support, Zhi Shan also accompanies students in taking care of their physical and mental health. Nearly 600 students had their photos taken, their height and weight measured, and their academic information collected. In particular, 60 12th graders wrote thank-you letters to their "far-away foster parents" - long-term sponsors of the project. They were also guided to complete the procedures to continue receiving scholarships when they are admitted to universities and colleges.
