UAE Traditional Music and Cuisine Introduced at Hanoi's Pedestrian Street

In June, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is expected to organize a program to introduce UAE traditional music and cuisine at Hanoi pedestrian street.

This program was disclosed by the new UAE Ambassador to Vietnam Bader Abdulla Almatrooshi at a meeting with Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong on May 17.

According to Ambassador Bader Abdulla Almatrooshi, the program is in a series of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the UAE. In addition to high-level visits between the two governments, cultural and sports events and exchanges in each country not only mark a milestone in bilateral relations but also contribute to enhancing mutual understanding of the people of both sides.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong welcomed the idea of ​​the UAE Embassy and affirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is ready to support programs and activities to promote the UAE people and country as well as cultural exchanges between people of the two countries.

According to Deputy Minister Dong, in the spirit of the Memorandum of Understanding on cultural cooperation, the Ministry also plans to organize the Vietnam Culture Day in the UAE at the end of this year. He expressed the expectation that the Ambassador will connect with partners on the UAE side to realize the plan and seek socialization sources for the upcoming Vietnamese Culture Day in the UAE.

Also at the meeting, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong and Ambassador Bader Abdulla Almatrooshi agreed that both sides need to organize more promotional activities between travel companies to promote tourism. Highlight events to enhance mutual understanding as well as groundbreaking initiatives to facilitate the movement of people of the two countries are also encouraged, namely visa exemption for tourists.

Currently, the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the UAE Ministry of Economy are preparing a Memorandum of Understanding on tourism cooperation between the two ministries. Given the signing of this document in 2023, this is not only an important event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations but also is expected to open new levels of tourism cooperation between Vietnam and the UAE.
