	Vietnam News Today (Feb. 8): Vietnam, Bulgaria Enjoy Thriving Ties Through More Than Seven Decades

Attending the event were Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu, Ambassador of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Sung Guk, representatives of ministries, branches, and Vietnamese friendship organizations.

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son affirmed that over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the traditional friendship between the two Parties and peoples, built and nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung, has overcome historical challenges and been continuously strengthened by generations of Vietnamese and DPRK leaders.

He affirmed Vietnam’s commitment to working with the Party, Government, and people of the DPRK to further develop the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Year in 2025, practically contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

DPRK Ambassador Ri Sung Guk stated that establishing bilateral diplomatic relations marked a historic milestone, signifying the beginning of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the two countries' people.

On this occasion, DPRK Ambassador Ri Sung Guk also wished the Party, Government, and people of Vietnam to have more achievements in the cause of building a prosperous and civilized socialist Vietnam.
