In his remarks, Ambassador Le Quang Long emphasized that the annual Community Tet - Homeland Spring program, organized by the Embassy, is an opportunity for generations of Vietnamese in Cuba to experience the atmosphere and flavors of Vietnam’s traditional Tet, as well as to recall and deepen their understanding of the nation’s cultural traditions.
Highlighting achievements in various fields such as economics, tourism, investment, and social welfare that Vietnam attained over the past year, Ambassador Le Quang Long underlined the significant contributions made by overseas Vietnamese, including the Vietnamese community in Cuba.
The Ambassador affirmed that the Vietnam-Cuba friendship is a vivid testament to international solidarity. The Party, State, and people of Vietnam always appreciate the tremendous support Cuba has extended to Vietnam during its struggle for national defense and development. The Vietnamese community in Cuba acts as a "bridge" that strengthens the special friendship between the two countries. The unity and determination of each Vietnamese living and studying in Cuba to preserve their identity, language, and traditions form a solid foundation for the bilateral relationship.
On this occasion, Ambassador Le Quang Long announced that during the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year 2025, marking the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties (December 2, 1960 – December 2, 2025), the two nations will host numerous activities to further strengthen and consolidate their special solidarity, enduring friendship, and brotherhood.
