The event also aimed to bring Vietnamese ex-pats in Japanese a cozy Tet holiday ambiance like in the homeland.

It is expected that from now until the end of the Lunar New Year, the organizers will give Banh Chung (Chung cake) to Vietnamese students and trainees in Fukuoka who have encountered difficulties caused by the Covid-19 epidemic.

The event included activities such as making Chung cake, cooking Vietnamese traditional dishes and displaying and selling Tet items, etc.

A highlight of the program was the online exchange between overseas Vietnamese in Kyushu and Vietnamese in the Dai Nam University in Hanoi and Tet flower market and pagoda in An Duong - Hai Phong. Vietnamese ex-pats, thereby, had the chance to “immerse” in the Tet atmosphere in the homeland.
