On behalf of the delegation, Vu Thi Huynh Mai, Chairwoman of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City, conveyed the warm greetings of the city leaders to the outstanding overseas Vietnamese delegates and families of overseas Vietnamese returning home on the occasion of the New Year and wished them good health, success, and happiness.

Vu Thi Huynh Mai informed that in 2024, with the drastic and timely direction of the city's leaders, the great efforts and determination of all agencies, departments, and branches, especially the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City, many proud achievements of Ho Chi Minh City in the work of Overseas Vietnamese have been created; contributing to the socio-economic of Vietnam.

The delegation of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City visited, wished a Happy New Year, and presented gifts to delegates of overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City.

Among those achievements, the city leaders always acknowledge the joint efforts of the overseas Vietnamese community through their suggestions and recommendations in building and implementing policies and strategies on foreign affairs, politics, economics, science, education, and culture.

Vu Thi Huynh Mai shared that 2025 is the year of many political events of special importance to the country such as The 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification; and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to strive to improve the quality of its work and provide effective advice so that HCM City can successfully organize programs to celebrate major holidays.

At the same time, Vu Thi Huynh Mai also hopes that the overseas Vietnamese community will continue to join hands and accompany the city in developing the economy, society, culture, and education.
