The contest aims to diversify forms of communication and increase community participation in conveying messages about gender equality, and eliminating discrimination and gender-based violence.

After 6 months of launching, the Organizing Committee has received more than 310 poems and 42 songs from all over the country, written by authors of diverse ages. The works represent the author's perspectives on an equal world.

On the sidelines of the Award Ceremony, an exhibition is held at the Women's Museum from December 8 to 9. The exhibition displays more than 40 of the contest's best poetic works.

This activity responds to the National Month of Action on Gender Equality and Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response (November 15 - December 15) and the global campaign 16 Days of Action to End Gender-based Violence (November 25-December 10).
