Speaking at the closing ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that sustainable, creative, and inclusive development has become a shared goal among nations worldwide, and Vietnam is no exception. The Vietnamese State has identified sustainable development based on cultural and human advancement as a fundamental pillar, while strengthening diplomacy and international integration remains a regular and vital priority.
The Vietnamese people - a nation of culture and heroism with thousands of years of history - have always upheld traditions of peace, compassion, and tolerance. Deeply understanding the values of stability and cooperation, the Vietnamese regard the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, as well as the respect and protection of nature, not only as an expression of gratitude to tradition but also as a sacred responsibility to future generations - a cornerstone for the country’s rapid and sustainable development.
That spirit is reflected in every sphere of Vietnam’s cooperation with countries and partners around the world. Vietnam has always been a proactive and responsible member of UNESCO, contributing actively to international frameworks and initiatives, particularly in fostering dialogue, cooperation, and peacebuilding for sustainable development.
“The First World Culture Festival in Vietnam is a vivid manifestation of this spirit - an initiative inspired by Madam Ngo Phuong Ly, spouse of Party General Secretary To Lam, to organize a cultural event of international scale in the capital city of Hanoi,” Minister Nguyen Van Hung highlighted.
“The festival celebrates the unique beauty of each nation, affirms the power of culture in connecting people, and portrays a lively picture of ‘Unity in Diversity’ among humankind,” he added.

In addition, 30 distinctive international art performances were held continuously over the three days of the festival.
Notably, the festival’s charity auction and fundraising program raised 2.5 billion VND. All proceeds will be donated to localities severely affected by floods to support the reconstruction of houses, schools, and community facilities, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and compassion shared by the international community and the Vietnamese people.
