The delegation, led by Nguyen Trung Kien, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, began its journey at the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, a land of great spiritual significance closely associated with major milestones in the nation’s history of building and defending the country. At the Temple of King Dinh Tien Hoang and the Temple of King Le Dai Hanh, the delegates respectfully offered incense in remembrance of their ancestors, expressing gratitude to those who laid the foundations for and safeguarded the nation’s independence.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, many overseas Vietnamese shared their pride at being able to directly learn about national history at the very birthplace of the first centralized feudal state in Vietnam. The visit also provided an opportunity for generations of Vietnamese living abroad to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of their heritage, and to strengthen their sense of responsibility in preserving and promoting Vietnamese cultural and historical values to international friends.

The delegation then attended a meeting and exchange with leaders of Ninh Binh Province. Speaking at the meeting, Dang Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that the province always regards overseas Vietnamese as an inseparable part of the nation. He also expressed the hope that overseas Vietnamese would continue to accompany the locality, contributing their intellect and resources to socio-economic development and promoting the image of Ninh Binh in particular and Vietnam in general to the world.

Nguyen Trung Kien affirmed that activities within the Homeland Spring 2026 program serve as an important bridge, helping overseas Vietnamese feel more closely connected to their homeland, while also creating conditions for localities to strengthen connections and cooperation with overseas Vietnamese communities across various fields.

Later that afternoon, the delegation visited the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site that harmoniously blends majestic natural scenery with distinctive cultural and historical values. The experience of boating through caves, limestone mountains, and ancient relics amid a pristine ecological environment left a deep impression on the delegates.
