The Ministry of Education and Training, in coordination with Room to Read Viet Nam, held the Conference to Review the Library Quality Improvement Program for developing reading habits and a reading culture for the 2021-2025 period on December 19 in Gia Lai province. The program recorded notable results, benefiting more than 3.2 million primary school students nationwide, while setting orientations for sustainable, digital, and equitable development of school libraries in the next phase.

On December 18 in Hue City, the Zhi Shan Foundation held a ceremony to mark its 30 years of operations in Vietnam and received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, recognizing the organization’s sustained and effective contributions in the field of child support and community development.

On December 16 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) organized an international scientific conference entitled “Vietnam - ASEAN: 30 Years of Community Building and Shaping the Future” to mark the 30th anniversary of Vietnam’s accession to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The conference was held in a hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation.

On December 16 in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, organized the Conference on Strengthening Cooperation and Enhancing the Effectiveness of Aid between Thanh Hoa Province and Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations for the 2026-2030 period. At the conference, representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee affirmed the province’s commitment to more effectively implementing over USD 5 million in aid from foreign non-governmental organizations in the coming period.
