In the global rankings, Vietnam’s capital city placed 31st, surpassing well-known destinations in Asia such as Bangkok (40th), Mumbai (43rd), Kuala Lumpur (68th), and Dubai (73rd). The Telegraph also released separate lists for the top 10 cities in Europe, the Americas, and the “rest of the world,” where Hanoi secured 10th place.

According to the publication, a truly great city for travelers must be captivating at first sight, have a deep historical background, offer a wide variety of experiences, vibrant entertainment, and excellent dining. Hanoi stands out by offering all of these: cultural richness, a modern and dynamic spirit, and diverse tourism offerings that appeal to visitors from around the globe.
For many tourists, Hanoi is a city full of unique experiences waiting to be explored in their own way. It attracts not only with the timeless charm of its historic Old Quarter and cultural landmarks, but also with the youthful energy of a growing urban center. The best times to visit Hanoi are during the autumn months (August to November) and spring (March to April), when the weather is at its most pleasant.
