Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) has partnered with the Welding and Joining Research Institute of Osaka University, a global leader in welding and joining technologies, to enhance research capabilities and train skilled engineers in this specialized field.

| On November 29, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) celebrated the inauguration of the Joining & Welding Research Institute HUST-UOsaka, marking a significant milestone in international cooperation for scientific research and technology development. The Joining & Welding Research Institute HUST-UOsaka is within the framework of the project "Strengthening research capacity in welding for HUST - Vietnam" with a total grant of 550 million yen from the Government of Japan. It was established under the School of Mechanical Engineering, HUST with 3 laboratories: Welding Process, Welding Metallurgy, and Welding Physics. The institute is expected to be a hub for expertise and innovation from both Japanese and Vietnamese specialists, aiming to advance welding technology in Vietnam during Industry 4.0. |
