A report at the conference stated that in 2025, Son Tra Border Guard Station synchronously implemented measures to manage, inspect and control people and vessels entering and leaving the maritime border area, ensuring smooth yet lawful clearance procedures. The unit registered departures and arrivals for nearly 12,000 vessels with more than 81,000 labor movements, and conducted 132 patrols with nearly 800 officers and soldiers participating. Through inspections, the unit imposed administrative penalties on 58 vessel owners with fines totaling more than 709 million VND, and advised penalties for 11 vessels with total fines exceeding 1.1 billion VND related to illegal fishing activities.

The station mobilized 498 vessel owners and captains to sign pledges not to encroach upon foreign waters for illegal fishing; maintained more than 2,400 communication sessions via the watchkeeping system, receiving many valuable reports serving search and rescue and the protection of maritime sovereignty. Notably, 30 fishing vessels are regularly on standby to participate in maritime sovereignty protection tasks when required.

At the conference, representatives of vessel owners signed commitments to strictly comply with maritime communication regulations and anti-IUU fishing requirements in 2026.

Speaking at the conference, leaders of the Da Nang City Border Guard Command requested that Son Tra Border Guard Station proactively grasp the situation early and from afar, promptly handle arising situations, and accompany fishermen in building a strong all-people border defense posture at sea.

On this occasion, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command awarded certificates of merit to six collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement “All people participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation,” and provided assistance to four vessel owners who suffered accidents at sea in 2025. Son Tra Border Guard Station also presented 100 national flags to fishermen operating offshore.
