Ambassador of Vietnam to Switzerland Le Linh Lan said he appreciated and acknowledged the dedication to supporting Vietnam of the overseas Vietnamese and Swiss communities, when the risks of Covid-19 outbreaks were high, facing new and more transmissible variants.

Truong Thanh Nguyen stressed that the contributions to the Covid-19 vaccine fund showed the overseas Vietnamese’ commitment to assist Vietnamese at home to get vaccinated, bringing lives back to normal and opening up the country.

Ngoc Dung Moser, secretary-general of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Switzerland, said Vietnamese were Vietnamese regardless places of residence. As Vietnamese, everyone should work together to win the fight against Covid-19.

Urs Angst said that despite the challenges brought by the pandemic, businesses and businessmen in Switzerland were proactive in contributing to the fund.

"Although profits are important to a business, social responsibilities are equally important. This is a beautiful trait of the Vietnam and Switzerland businessman communities," he added

Swiss businessmen hope that the compulsory quarantine requirements upon arrival in Vietnam for fully vaccinated people will be loosened. Many countries across the globe have been preparing to apply the vaccination certificate and open their countries.

In addition to the contributions listed, other overseas Vietnamese associations in Switzerland have directly transferred donations to the Covid-19 vaccine fund via bank transfer or text message.
