In this ranking, Tokyo (Japan) retained its No. 1 position, while Sapporo (Japan) climbed to second place thanks to its pleasant climate and summer festivals. Paris (France) secured third place for its cultural and culinary appeal. Notably, Da Nang, the sole representative from Vietnam, made its debut at No. 4, surpassing many well-known cities in the region, such as Singapore, which ranked fifth.
According to RoK media, Da Nang’s appeal lies in its many outstanding tourist attractions, particularly My Khe Beach, Sun World Ba Na Hills, and the ancient town of Hoi An. In addition, Da Nang is known for being budget-friendly, especially for young travelers and couples.
Located 1,414 meters above sea level, Sun World Ba Na Hills is one of the attractions that consistently draws an “overwhelming” number of RoK tourists compared to other international markets. In the first six months of this year alone, it welcomed nearly 500,000 RoK visitors, accounting for about 60% of all RoK tourists to Da Nang. This means that for every 10 RoK visitors to the city, 6 make their way up to Ba Na Hills.
Beyond Ba Na Hills, Da Nang boasts many attractions in the city center that are popular with RoK visitors, such as Dragon Bridge, Love Bridge, and Han Market. For panoramic views of the city, visitors can opt for Novotel Danang Premier Han River, where all balconies overlook the Han River. Those who prefer to stay near the beach might choose Premier Village Da Nang on My An Beach or the exclusive InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort on the Son Tra Peninsula.
Additionally, for RoK travelers with a passion for golf, Da Nang offers numerous world-class courses, including the 18-hole Ba Na Hills Golf Club designed by former world No. 1 golfer Luke Donald.
