According to Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, over the course of 76 years, the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Russia have continued to be strengthened and expanded across multiple fields. In recent years, bilateral relations have maintained positive momentum at all levels, from the central to the local level, through numerous practical cooperation programs and projects in energy, defense, education and training, science and technology, and human resource development.

In particular, cooperation in energy, tourism, and labor exchange has recorded new progress, creating many development opportunities for both countries. In addition, people-to-people exchanges continue to be one of the highlights, helping strengthen the solid social foundation of bilateral relations.

As the country's leading economic, cultural, and external relations hub, Ho Chi Minh City is actively expanding cooperative ties with various localities in the Russian Federation. The Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam-Russian Federation Friendship Association will continue to innovate its activities and approaches, strengthen cultural and educational exchange programs, promote business connectivity and local-level cooperation, and thereby further deepen the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

On the occasion of Russian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Timur Sadykov's upcoming completion of his diplomatic tenure in Vietnam, Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong expressed her appreciation and high regard for his contributions to promoting friendly cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Russian localities, as well as Vietnam–Russia relations in general.

Yury Ivanovich Nemtsov, Deputy Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his gratitude for the affection that the Vietnamese people have shown toward Russia and its people. He noted that Russia Day provides an opportunity for Russians to reflect on their nation's development journey, marked by significant historical milestones, years of defending the homeland, and efforts to overcome hardships and challenges in building the country. These historical experiences, he said, have helped shape the resilience, determination, and spirit of unity of the Russian people.

Highlighting the relationship between the two countries, Yury Ivanovich Nemtsov noted that Vietnam and Russia share many similarities in their histories. The people of both nations have endured devastating wars, sacrifices, and losses in their struggles to gain and safeguard national independence. As a result, both countries deeply cherish the values of peace, freedom, and independence and have always been willing to support one another during difficult times.

According to him, these shared values, patriotism, love for the homeland, the aspiration for peace, and a commitment to preserving national dignity, have created a special bond between the peoples of the two countries and have served as an important foundation for the development of Vietnam-Russia relations over the decades.

Despite fluctuations in the global situation, relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation continue to be maintained on the solid foundation of traditional friendship, political trust, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Yury Ivanovich Nemtsov expressed confidence that the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will continue to develop strongly in the coming years, meeting the interests and aspirations of the peoples of both countries.

Held in a solemn, warm, and friendly atmosphere, the gathering was not only an opportunity for the Russian community and their Vietnamese friends to reflect on the journey of cooperation between the two countries, but also contributed to further nurturing the close ties between the peoples of Vietnam and the Russian Federation, paving the way for new advances in bilateral relations.

Russia Day is celebrated annually on June 12 to commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty by the Russian Parliament in 1990, marking an important milestone in the formation of modern Russia.
