Vietnamese Expats in Korea Receive Covid-19 Support Products

On October 5, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a ceremony in Hanoi to accept Covid-19 treatment products worth about 1.8 billion VND from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. This ceremony also served to introduce overseas Vietnamese in Korea to the Buddhist culture of Vietnam.

Pham Quang Hieu, chairman of the state committee on overseas Vietnamese, Thich Nu Gioi Tanh, director of the Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Center in Korea, President of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Korea, and representatives from a number of sponsors were among those present at the reception ceremony.

5,000 bottles of God's water nose and throat spray are available to help and treat Covid-19 and the viral and bacterial epidemic (worth about 1.8 billion VND).

To share hardships with them in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic once more in Korea, these items will be supplied to the Buddhist community living, working, and studying in Korea.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hieu emphasized the policy of the Party and the State of Vietnam in taking care of the community of foreign workers, which is reflected in important guiding documents such as Resolution 36-NQ/TW, Directive No. Circular 45-CT/TW and Conclusion 12-KL/TW of the Politburo on Overseas Vietnamese work.

With the spirit of great solidarity and mutual love, this support needs to be deployed in the Vietnamese community in each country, as well as among the community around the world, thereby helping to raise the status of the Vietnamese people. The Vietnamese community in the host country, builds a strong community of foreign workers, contributing to the friendly relations between Vietnam and other countries.

Thich Nu Gioi Tanh, contributors, and benefactors were recognized by deputy minister Pham Quang Hieu for their contributions to the nation and the homeland as well as for understanding the struggles faced by the Vietnamese community in Korea. He also promised to send these items to the required locations.

The Vietnamese community in Korea in general, the Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Center in Korea in particular, and deputy minister Pham Quang Hieu expressed hope that activities will continue in the near future. worthwhile endeavors that benefit the neighborhood, household, and nation in both a monetary and spiritual sense.

Thich Nu Gioi Tanh expressed her appreciation to the State Committee for Human Resources and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for actively supporting the Center's initiatives as well as neighborhood activities.

The monk claimed that throughout the years, the Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Center in Korea has developed into a link and a trustworthy location for the Vietnamese population there, actively promoting cordial ties between Korea and Vietnam.

Korea officially removed the Covid test after arrival

As of October 1, 2022, foreigners entering Korea within 24 hours after arrival will no longer require a PCR test.

Visitors may now fly to Korea with easier and more affordable processes thanks to the cancellation of the law requiring Covid testing prior to boarding on September 3, 2022, as well as the disclosure of the number of immunizations from August 22, 2022.

The QR code must still be shown at the airport upon arrival, and travelers must continue to update their entry details on the Q-code website.
