Vietnamese Youth in Russia Celebrate the Founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union

The program included a flower-laying ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Square; a rally and induction ceremony for new Youth Union members; a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Youth Union Executive Committee in the Russian Federation (January 9, 2001 - January 9, 2026); and activities marking the successful election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term, under the theme “Youth in the Russian Federation - Proud of tradition, confident toward the future.”

The series of activities was organized to widely promote the proud traditions of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, thereby inspiring pride, strengthening revolutionary ideals and a sense of responsibility among members and young people, and motivating them to strive in study and self-improvement while promoting the pioneering and creative role of Vietnamese youth abroad.

The flower-laying ceremony took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, with the participation of representatives from the Youth Union Executive Committee - Vietnamese Student Association in Russia, representatives of affiliated Youth Union and Student Association branches, clubs and teams, along with a large number of members and young people studying and living in the city.

On the same day, at the Trade Office building of the Vietnam Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Youth Union Executive Committee - Vietnamese Student Association in Russia solemnly held a commemorative rally and a ceremony to honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in Youth Union and youth movement activities in 2025.

In the opening speech, Mai Tung Lam, Secretary of the Youth Union Executive Committee in the Russian Federation, expressed sincere thanks to the Party Committee, the Vietnam Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Union of Vietnamese Organizations in the Russian Federation, and other organizations and units for their continued attention, companionship, and support for Youth Union and Student Association activities over the past period. He also called on members and young people to continue promoting the spirit of “Aspiration - Unity - Courage - Pioneering - Creativity,” striving to study, train, and contribute to the country.

Ngo Thi Thu Hoai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in the Russian Federation, encouraged Vietnamese youth to continue upholding traditions, constantly study and improve themselves, enhance political awareness and professional capacity, thereby making positive contributions to the development of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation and the cause of national construction and defense. She also expressed her hope that Vietnamese youth in the Russian Federation would continue to promote solidarity, proactively integrate, and affirm their role and position in the international environment.

The Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Student Association to 10 collectives and 22 individuals, and commendation certificates from the Party Committee to 10 collectives and 31 individuals with outstanding achievements in Youth Union and Student Association work and youth and student movements in 2025.
