This is one of the tasks set by the Viet Nam-Russia Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa province at its conference to review activities in 2025, roll out tasks, and hold a meeting and exchange to welcome the New Year 2026, held on December 27 in Thanh Hoa.

On December 16 in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, organized the Conference on Strengthening Cooperation and Enhancing the Effectiveness of Aid between Thanh Hoa Province and Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations for the 2026-2030 period. At the conference, representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee affirmed the province’s commitment to more effectively implementing over USD 5 million in aid from foreign non-governmental organizations in the coming period.

According to the plan, at the end of this year, an inspection team from the European Commission (EC) will visit Viet Nam to review the implementation of requirements on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing. As a locality with a developed fisheries sector and heavily affected by IUU regulations, Thanh Hoa has recently deployed a wide range of comprehensive measures to build a sustainable fisheries industry, proactively joining the entire country in preparing to welcome the EC inspection team, aiming toward the goal of removing the fisheries “yellow card.”

World Vision International in Viet Nam (WVIV) officially launched the Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Business Plan under the theme “Mapping the Blue Thread” on the afternoon of November 20.
