“The Inclusion Project has brought about practical changes, significantly improving the quality of life of people with disabilities. We recognize the need to maintain and replicate these models and approaches, and hope that provinces will develop plans to integrate proven methods into their local health systems to ensure long-term sustainability,” said Tran Duc Hung, NACCET Deputy General Director.
The Inclusion Project, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the National Action Center for Toxic Chemicals and Environmental Treatment (NACCET), focuses on supporting people with disabilities in 7 provinces heavily affected by Agent Orange, consisted of Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Kon Tum, Binh Phuoc, and Dong Nai.
The Inclusion Project expands health and rehabilitation support services, social services, strengthens social inclusion support, improves community attitudes towards the rights and policies of persons with disabilities, and ensures social inclusion of persons with disabilities.
