Each year, GNI also delivers more than 200,000 gifts directly to disadvantaged children.

“Twenty years is an important milestone, but also a new beginning. In the time ahead, GNI Vietnam will redouble its efforts in education, livelihoods, healthcare, and the environment to bring about greater changes. We will do our utmost to create more opportunities for children, families, and communities to thrive,” he said.
According to Do Thi Kim Dung, Deputy Head of the People’s Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM), international friends, including foreign non-governmental organizations, have always accompanied Vietnam in its socio-economic achievements over the years. Among them, GNI stands out as an active and dedicated organization that has consistently contributed to poverty reduction and sustainable development in Vietnam.
“Two decades of GNI’s work in Vietnam represent a long journey of partnership - enough time for us to build bonds, mutual understanding, and lasting appreciation for the tireless efforts of generations of GNI leaders and staff who have contributed to Vietnam’s sustainable development and to the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea,” Do Thi Kim Dung said.

She expressed her belief that, building on the achievements of the past 20 years, GNI will continue to reap even greater successes in the years ahead and make further contributions to Vietnam’s sustainable development.
At the anniversary ceremony, in recognition of GNI’s efforts and contributions, the President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations presented GNI with a Certificate of Merit for its outstanding contributions to sustainable development in Vietnam.
Over the next decade, GNI Vietnam will focus on five strategic pillars: - Building a safe and inclusive environment for all children. - Promoting equitable, creative, and holistic education. - Developing green and sustainable livelihoods for households. - Empowering communities to become agents of change. - Driving innovation, partnerships, and organizational capacity-building with transparency and efficiency. In the next 10 years, GNI expects that hundreds of thousands - and eventually millions - of children and community members will gain access to education, sustainable livelihoods, and a safer, more humane life. By 2030, the organization’s journey is projected to reach more than 800,000 beneficiaries, including over half a million community members working with GNI to create positive and lasting change. By 2035, GNI envisions more than 1 million people benefiting from its efforts, including hundreds of thousands of children - the future citizens of Vietnam - growing up in an environment of love, safety, and opportunity. In terms of financial resources, GNI aims to expand from over USD 6.7 million in 2025 to USD 12 million by 2030, and more than USD 16 million by 2035. |
