Chairing the meeting and working session with Andrea Maria Sühl, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, highlighted the positive developments in the cooperative relationship between Da Nang and German localities and partners in recent years.
She emphasized that both sides are committed to deepening collaboration in key areas such as investment, trade, human resource development, scientific and technological innovation, and cultural exchange.

There are currently 28 FDI projects of the Federal Republic of Germany registered for investment in Da Nang city with a total investment capital of about 671.4 million USD. German enterprises operate in many fields. In the first 8 months of 2025, the total number of German tourists to Da Nang city reached more than 127 thousand, in the top 15 market share of tourists to Da Nang. This affirms the love of the people of the Federal Republic of Germany for Da Nang city.
Nguyen Thi Anh Thi hopes that the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, Andrea Maria Sühl, will introduce investors and German enterprises that are interested in learning and investing in Da Nang. At the same time, introduce programs, projects, and key areas that Da Nang city prioritizes for development such as port cities, environment, logistics, supply chains, and finance.
According to Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, 2025 is an important milestone in the Vietnam - Germany relations, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Da Nang wishes to continue to be a bridge, contributing to helping the Vietnam-Germany relationship continue to develop strongly to a new height. We hope that many cooperation programs will be implemented and realized in the coming time.
At the meeting, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City Andrea Maria Sühl thanked the warm welcome of the leaders of Da Nang city and emphasized that the relationship between the Federal Republic of Germany and Da Nang is not only about culture but also in many other fields, both sides aim to develop the relationship and strengthen cooperation in areas of strength.
Andrea Maria Sühl said that in her position and role, she will be a bridge, informing German enterprises about the advantages, environment, and investment attraction policies of Da Nang. At the same time, she will suggest German enterprises already present in Vietnam to come to Da Nang to study the environment if they have a need to expand their investment.
