| The inauguration ceremony for the "Vietnam Corner" drew the participation of the Vietnamese community, local authorities, and residents of Odessa. |
Its unique and highly creative design was meticulously crafted by Ukrainian artisans. At the heart of the structure is an impressive and colorful dragon, gracefully winding and reaching outward, creating a distinctive work of art that stands prominently in the center of the Odesa Zoo.
Beyond bringing a joyful and lively atmosphere, the project conveys the Vietnamese community’s deep hopes for peace in the beloved land of Odesa, which has warmly embraced and protected them. Additionally, the artwork serves as a highlight that attracts visitors to explore the Odesa Zoo.
Addressing the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen Hong Thach noted that the project symbolizes the strong friendship between the Vietnamese community and the city of Odesa.
According to the Ambassador, the Vietnamese have a saying: "Birds perch in good land". Like birds, people seek out places where they can thrive. Therefore, Odesa is currently home to the largest Vietnamese community in Ukraine.
