After more than a month of implementation, the award received submissions from many outstanding young individuals in culture and the arts, sports, academics, scientific research and innovation, and production.

With a total value of up to 5 billion VND, the “Enduring Passion” Award offers more than material support. It motivates young talents to nurture their ambitions and push past personal limits to reach their goals. Even though this is its first year and the selection process is highly rigorous, the award attracted an impressive number of quality nominations. The nominee list features many young talents who reflect the resilience and creativity of the new generation in Vietnam.

Since its introduction, the award has drawn strong interest from the community, especially from young people who are studying, researching, and contributing across many fields. Through the award, the Vietnam Young Talent Support Foundation and Number One aim to build a community that connects confident and creative young individuals who are ready to take on challenges and achieve meaningful accomplishments. The award encourages them to pursue their passions, spread inspiration, and promote positive values while contributing to shaping the nation’s future, where young people are expected to lead and bring pride to the country.

For the “Enduring Passion” category, the foundation received many strong nominations across diverse fields. The candidates stand out for their expertise, creativity, dedication, and positive impact on society. One of the most inspiring nominees is Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tam, also known as “Ngoc Tam Thuy Tinh.”

Born with osteogenesis imperfecta, she has spent more than twenty years refusing to surrender to her condition. Instead, she has pushed herself to rise above her limits and become a symbol of courage and compassion. Ngoc Tam founded the “Five No” classroom in her hometown of Nam Dinh: no chalk, no board, no podium, no formal lesson plans, and no tuition fees. Her initiative has given many disadvantaged children access to education. She also established the Ngoc Tam Thuy Tinh Scholarship Fund, which offers hundreds of gifts to encourage students to improve each day.

Speaking about the strong quality and volume of nominations, at the announcement ceremony for the 2024 Outstanding Vietnamese Youth Awards, Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Vietnam National Union of Students, shared that the organizers focused on identifying truly exceptional candidates. They worked to gather as much information as possible on each nominee to ensure the most deserving individuals were selected.

Adding to this, Phung Cong Suong, Director of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Foundation, emphasized that the “Enduring Passion” Award prioritizes inspiration and positive impact. The quality of submissions varies across fields, with academics and scientific research showing notable breakthroughs. During the selection process, the organizers face significant pressure, as every nominee is worthy of recognition. However, the core criteria for identifying outstanding talents remain clear. A true representative must not only excel in their field but also serve as a role model who creates meaningful influence on the younger generation.
