The event attracted more than 300 participants, including vessel owners, captains, and local fishermen. This was one of the key activities of Reconnaissance Unit No. 2 during the peak campaign to disseminate information, inspect, and prevent IUU fishing in 2025. It demonstrated the determination of officers and soldiers to put an end to violations of foreign waters by Vietnamese fishing vessels before November 15, 2025, contributing to joint efforts with relevant forces and coastal localities to help remove the European Commission’s (EC) yellow card, towards a sustainable and responsible Vietnamese fisheries sector.

At the same time, the Coast Guard officers also provided information and guidance to help fishermen actively respond to Storm No. 13, reinforce and secure their boats, and anchor them safely in ports. The communication activities were concise, clear, and easy to remember, combining direct dialogue, leaflet distribution, and personalized guidance for each vessel owner, helping fishermen thoroughly understand the regulations and proactively avoid violations.
After the indoor session, the working team visited Loc An fishing port (Phuoc Hai Commune, Ho Chi Minh City) to directly communicate with more than 30 fishing boat owners docked there, meeting captains and crew members to encourage strict compliance with legal regulations in fishing activities. On this occasion, the unit distributed over 300 leaflets, presented 100 national flags, and gave 100 legal handbooks to local fishermen.
