Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei holds Tet gatherings with OVs

Amid the nationwide celebrations welcoming the Year of the Horse (Binh Ngo) Spring 2026 and marking the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnamese communities in many countries, including Malaysia, Laos, China, and New Zealand, have organized Homeland Spring and Vietnamese Tet programs featuring a wide range of culturally rich activities. These events have contributed to strengthening bonds within overseas Vietnamese communities, spreading sentiments toward the Homeland, and enhancing people-to-people exchanges.

From February 5-6, an estimated 1,000 overseas Vietnamese delegates are expected to take part in a meaningful series of connectivity programs on the occasion of Tet and the arrival of Spring in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

As the entire country looks toward the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese community in Thailand has expressed deep interest and strong confidence in the nation’s strategic orientations, while reaffirming its desire to continue making active contributions to national construction and development in the new period.

The 14th National Congress of the Party concluded successfully, ushering in a new stage of national development. The overseas Vietnamese community has expressed deep confidence in the Party’s line and strategic vision, and reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to accompany and contribute to the cause of building and safeguarding the Homeland.
