As a partner at the fair, the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association's ten booths offer guests access to traditional Vietnamese cuisine such as pho, bread, spring rolls, and coffee, and draw a large number of visitors to enjoy. In addition, several Vietnamese items are sold, including shrimp noodles, dry pho cakes, instant coffee, and dipping sauce.
According to the organizing committee, the fair features around 220 stalls, with the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association being the only international representative in attendance. The organizing committee hopes that the fair has provided a better understanding of Vietnamese culture and cuisine, thereby strengthening the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Malaysia as the two countries have reached the historical milestone of 50 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Dinh Ngoc Linh and his spouse attended the fair's opening ceremony, where they joined organizers and members of the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association to enjoy a variety of traditional dance performances of both nations.

The Ambassador also visited the Vietnamese booth at the fair, supported Vietnamese entrepreneurs, and stated that the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia is always willing to support enterprises in preserving and spreading Vietnamese culture to international audiences.
After visiting the fair and Vietnamese booths, Trade Counselor Le Phu Cuong stated that participating in fairs to promote Vietnamese cuisine is necessary. Aside from the fact that participating businesses benefit significantly from the fair, they also help to promote the country's image, and culinary culture, and create trust among Malaysian consumers, encouraging locals to purchase Vietnamese export items in the market.
Trade Counselor Le Phu Cuong stated that in the coming time, the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia and the Trade Department would continue to support units that organize and promote Vietnamese products to deepen understanding and attract Malaysian customers' attention to items from Vietnam.
President of the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association Tran Thi Chang emphasized the importance of promotion of the country's image through cultural interaction, including cuisine, and hopes that the fair can inform Malaysian and international friends about Vietnamese culture and give them the opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine.
Accordingly, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association and IFOOD - Malaysia's leading food event organization will provide the Association with more favorable conditions to attend major food events in Malaysia, particularly if the organizer is professional and the venue is chosen in a large area with a large number of consumers.
