Young Overseas Vietnamese Learn about Homeland's Sea and Islands
On July 23, 100 outstanding Vietnamese expatriate youth and students, who are participating in the Vietnam Summer Camp 2026, visited and interacted with the Naval Academy in Khanh Hoa.

The delegation offered incense at the Monument to Saint Tran, visited the Academy's Traditional Room, listen to information sharing sessions about the situation of Vietnam's seas and islands, and meet the youth of the Naval Academy.

Speaking at the reception, Deputy Director of the Naval Academy Nguyen Dinh Giang expressed his hope that young Vietnamese expatriates would serve as ambassadors, promoting Vietnam’s culture, country, and people in general, and the image of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers - the naval soldiers” in the new era in particular, to friends around the world.
He also encouraged the students to redouble their efforts in studying and promoting national values, while enhancing their sense of responsibility in safeguarding the sovereignty of Vietnam’s seas and islands. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of strengthening the bond between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland.

The Vietnam Summer Camp 2022 organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs has recently kicked off with the first activities in Hanoi. 8 young overseas Vietnamese were honored at the camp. |

Overseas Vietnamese publish bilingual books on Vietnamese idioms and proverbs, modern Vietnamese textbooks; providing free bilingual stories about Vietnam. They want foreigners and overseas Vietnamese, especially the younger generation, to understand more about Vietnamese language and culture. |
