Lao Va Chai Semi-boarding Primary and Lower Secondary School, in coordination with Plan International, organized the Girls Takeover program on September 18 in Tuyen Quang. At the event, girls were given the opportunity to take on leadership roles as a commune leader, school principal and village head, allowing them to voice their thoughts, aspirations and proposals on issues affecting children at school and in the community.

Once among the roads that residents were reluctant to use after dark, the roads in Tan Tien Village, Yen Minh Commune, Tuyen Quang Province, are now illuminated by solar-powered streetlights supported by Plan International. The lighting has made travel more convenient and safer, while also expanding the space available for residents to socialise, play and connect after a day of work.

Lung Pu Semi-boarding Primary and Lower Secondary School held the sports festival “Together overcoming challenges” on September 17 in Tuyen Quang, creating a space for students to exercise, interact and strengthen connections with their peers, teachers and parents.

Being a parent is not simply about making sure children are well-fed and warmly dressed. It also means learning how to listen and understand, recognise potential risks, and protect children’s mental well-being. Through the U18 Parenting Club, part of the “Sports Spaces for Mental Health” project implemented by Plan International, many families are gradually changing the way they care for, educate and accompany their children.
