Before the sacred spirits of the Hung Kings and the forebears who founded the nation, the delegation pledged unity in building and safeguarding the Fatherland, contributing to the growth of the Vietnamese community and the nation. They prayed for ancestral blessings for national prosperity, peace, and stability; for the enduring well-being of the people across generations; for a stronger and more prosperous country that continues to affirm its position on the international stage; and for overseas Vietnamese communities to remain healthy, united, and resilient, contributing to the strength of the Vietnamese community and the nation.
Receiving and working with the delegation, Nguyen Dac Thuy, Director of the Phu Tho Department of Foreign Affairs, expressed his pleasure and honor in welcoming the distinguished overseas Vietnamese delegation from many countries to attend the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Ceremony and offer incense at Hung Temple in the Year of Binh Ngo 2026.

Nguyen Dac Thuy also affirmed that Phu Tho Province hopes this visit and working session will open up new, practical, and more effective cooperation opportunities between the province and international partners.
At the meeting, delegates discussed areas of strength and high complementarity, including mineral processing, livestock product processing, manufacturing and processing industries, construction materials, supporting industries, agro-products and food, and logistics.
They also exchanged views on tourism and services, including support for developing distinctive tourism programs and products, connecting Vietnam’s key destinations with countries and territories worldwide, and enhancing tourism promotion and experience-sharing in the development of eco-tourism and community-based tourism associated with cultural preservation and sustainable development.
In terms of cultural and people-to-people exchanges, Phu Tho places particular emphasis on strengthening cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges, as well as cooperation among organizations, associations, and Vietnamese communities around the world.
This will serve as an important foundation to consolidate friendship, enhance mutual understanding, and expand cooperation with countries worldwide. Phu Tho Province is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for foreign enterprises and overseas Vietnamese to explore opportunities, implement projects, and expand production and business activities in the locality.
Currently, there are approximately 6.5 million overseas Vietnamese in 130 countries and territories, of whom more than 80% reside in developed countries. Overseas Vietnamese communities continue to grow in all aspects, expanding in size, diversifying in composition, and strengthening in resources. They are increasingly connected to their homeland, supportive of the national unity policy and the country’s development path, and have become an important resource for national construction and development.
Overseas Vietnamese have made significant and practical material contributions to the country, with remittances reaching a record high of nearly USD 18 billion in 2025. They have also supported people at home in overcoming difficulties and rebuilding their lives after natural disasters and floods, contributing nearly VND 45 billion along with nearly 15 tons of goods and supplies.
