During the program, the Executive Board presented a report highlighting the Association’s key accomplishments over the last two years. From an initial membership of around 20 individuals, AVISE has expanded its network to nearly 100 members, including approximately 60 official members currently engaged in research, professional work, and innovation activities across various fields such as science, technology, digital transformation, innovation, and healthcare in Sweden.
Over the past two years, the Association has organized a wide range of practical and meaningful activities aimed at strengthening connections within the Vietnamese intellectual community in Sweden. Notable initiatives have included seminars on cultural differences between East Asian societies, including Vietnam, and Nordic countries, helping young members improve their integration and career development prospects. AVISE has also provided career guidance programs to assist members in identifying suitable professional pathways, while regularly hosting thematic workshops and forums for exchanging knowledge and experiences in science, technology, digital transformation, innovation, and healthcare.
As part of AVISE DAY 2026, the Association also held elections for its Executive Committee for the 2026–2027 term. With support from attending members, a new Executive Committee was elected, comprising experienced members from the previous term alongside several dynamic and enthusiastic young professionals. The election results reflect both continuity and growth in the Association’s development, combining the expertise and experience of established scientists and specialists with the creativity, innovation, and fresh perspectives of the younger generation of Vietnamese intellectuals in Sweden.

Speaking at AVISE DAY 2026, Vietnamese Ambassador to Sweden Tran Van Tuan highly praised the achievements of the Association of Vietnamese Science and Technology in Sweden (AVISE) over the past two years. The Ambassador acknowledged the Association’s efforts in expanding its membership network, effectively organizing professional activities, fostering a collaborative environment for experts and scientists, and actively supporting the Embassy’s initiatives aimed at serving the Vietnamese community in Sweden.
Ambassador Tran Van Tuan emphasized that through AVISE’s activities, the Embassy has been able to identify and connect with numerous talented young Vietnamese scientists and intellectuals whose outstanding research projects and innovative scientific contributions possess significant practical value. Many of these individuals have subsequently been introduced to institutions in Vietnam and have received recognition and honors through prestigious national science awards.
Looking ahead, the Ambassador expressed his hope that AVISE would continue to strengthen its role as an important bridge for the Vietnamese intellectual community in Sweden. He encouraged the Association to further expand its network of scientists, experts, and young intellectuals; proactively identify and introduce individuals with outstanding achievements for connection and recognition in Vietnam; and increase the sharing of expertise and experience with other Vietnamese associations, clubs, and community groups in Sweden. These efforts, he noted, would contribute to building a united, thriving, and well-integrated Vietnamese community within Swedish society.
AVISE DAY 2026 took place in an atmosphere of solidarity, openness, and shared responsibility, reflecting the growing strength and maturity of the Vietnamese intellectual community in Sweden. The achievements recorded over the past two years, together with the strategic direction set by the newly elected Executive Committee, are expected to further contribute to the development of the Vietnamese community in Sweden while strengthening knowledge exchange and promoting cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and research between Vietnam and Sweden.
