On August 19 in Hanoi, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Phan Anh Son received the Brazil-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group led by its Chairman, Márcio Honaiser. Both sides affirmed the role of parliamentary diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy in advancing the Vietnam-Brazil Strategic Partnership, while also putting forward a number of concrete cooperation proposals for the time ahead.

On August 18 in Hanoi, the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) held the 13th Conference of the Standing Committee, 6th tenure, chaired by VUFO President Phan Anh Son and VUFO Vice President Nguyen Ngoc Hung.
