On the occasion of the 81st anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945-September 2, 2026), Hanoi will hold fireworks displays at five locations, along with a wide range of vibrant programs and experiential activities in various areas to serve residents and visitors.

Law No. 118/2025/QH15, amending and supplementing a number of provisions of 10 laws related to security and public order, took effect on July 1, 2026. The law introduces a number of important amendments and supplements to the Law on entry into, exit from, transit through, and residence in Vietnam of foreigners. The new regulations focus on improving visa policies, facilitating entry into and residence in Vietnam for foreigners, accelerating digital transformation, reducing administrative procedures, while ensuring state management requirements concerning security and public order in the new situation.

At a press conference on socio-economic issues in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of August 20, a representative of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports provided information on activities to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945-August 19, 2026) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945-September 2, 2026).

After more than one year and eight months of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation have seen clear changes in awareness, institutions, and implementation. The Ministry of Science and Technology has identified its key focus through the end of 2026 as making a strong shift from institutional development to creating concrete products, technologies, and results.
