In his remarks, Minister Luong Tam Quang extended his sincere thanks and New Year greetings to international delegates, partners, and close friends, emphasizing the significance and importance of international cooperation amid the volatile global and regional situation. According to the Minister, the need to build a peaceful and stable environment for all nations to develop together has become more urgent than ever.
Minister Luong Tam Quang also conveyed the message of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which was recently held successfully, regarding development and integration thinking, Vietnam’s long-term political stability, as well as the consistent principle of an independent and self-reliant foreign policy and the determination to stand with the international community in addressing common challenges of the times.
To promote cooperation in 2026 and the years ahead, Minister Luong Tam Quang stated that Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security will work with law enforcement agencies of other countries to enhance information exchange and candidly address difficulties and obstacles on the basis of respect for international law, the United Nations Charter, and international treaties to which Vietnam is a party, thereby deepening and making security cooperation more substantive and effective. Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security will actively contribute to the international community’s efforts in preventing and combating transnational crime, terrorism, money laundering, high-tech crime, human trafficking, and other non-traditional security threats, particularly in the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, for which Vietnam serves as the host country for the opening for signature.
