Shortly after issuing a public appeal for information on the burial sites of soldiers who were killed during the battle at Tan Son Nhat Airport in the 1968 Tet Offensive, the Ho Chi Minh City High Command received more than 50 phone calls and text messages from witnesses and local residents. The information has provided additional leads to support the verification, search, recovery, and identification of the fallen soldiers' remains.

Dong Thap to Collect DNA Samples from More Than 21,000 Unidentified Martyrs’ Graves
As part of the “500-day-and-night campaign to accelerate the search, recovery, and identification of fallen soldiers’ remains,” Dong Thap Province is implementing the collection and transfer of samples from fallen soldiers’ remains for DNA analysis. According to the plan, samples will be collected from more than 21,000 martyrs’ graves that remain unidentified or lack sufficient information across the province, with the aim of gradually determining their identities and fulfilling the wishes of their relatives and families.
